BUMSEN - informationsystem - Authors usually provides entries on monographically published books (fiction and nonfiction). The main focus is currently on German and English language publications. Author bibliographies are available for a few authors, in which the currently known works of these authors are listed cumulatively. As long as EBooks are not allowed to be resold antiquarian because of the publishers' profit motive and for copyright reasons, BUMSEN-is will not document such publications.

Since the 1950s and the 1960s, more and more paperbacks and also hardcovers with erotic and increasingly pornographic content were published.

These were often classics of erotic literature in frequently edited new versions. In addition, there was trivial, banal and very much trash literature. Often these books appeared in specialized publishing houses or book series. The boom of these series did not last long. By the end of the 1980s, most of the series disappeared from the market again. Instead, there were often erotic publications in the general programs of the publishing houses. Since the new millennium, the market has changed again, partly due to the emergence of ebooks ... but this is not our topic.
Since these books have unfortunately not been satisfactorily documented bibliographically, BUMSEN-is - Authors tries to bring a little light into the darkness here.
